Bulldogs News · New Physical Examination’s for athletes/cheer/dance for the 2020-2021 school year, NEW physical form in this story.

The Trimble Tech Athletic Staff would like to get this information out to everybody as soon as possible, as everybody knows the school year didn’t end the way everyone had hoped and plans were kinda thrown up in the air. Sorry for the delay in getting this information but we do have information for physical examinations that will be required for the 2020-2021 school year.

ALL students will be required to have a new UIL Medical History – Physical Examination for the upcoming school year to compete in athletics. The University Interscholastic League (UIL) is the governing body of high school athletics has changed/updated the UIL Medical History – Physical Examination Form (Click link –>) : UIL PrePhysFormRvsd 04.24.20 and all physicals MUST be turned in on this form for it to be accepted. So please click on this link and take this form with you when you go to get a physical. The form must have the year 2020 in the top right corner as well as the option for parents to opt into an EKG in the lower right corner on the medical history side.

Care Now is offering physicals now through August 31st at a cost of $20, that information can be found at this link (Click Link–>) : CareNow Sports Physical Flyer 2020 . So please take care of this opportunity as that is going to be a price that is hard to beat. Physicals done by your primary care physician are always accepted.

Coaches across Fort Worth ISD are all currently working on plan to get summer strength and conditioning programs up and running. Those plans will have to be submitted and approved by the athletic department so we can get our athletes back on campus and working out. Those plans, once approved will posted on this website. For the summer conditioning program, students who had a valid and cleared physical forms that allowed them to participate during the 2019-2020 school year are eligible to participate in summer strength and conditioning/sport specific training until July 31st, 2020. If the student had an injury prior to school being held that will have to be cleared up prior to participation. Likewise, if the student has asthma, the student must have their inhaler with them to be allowed to participate. Again, a new physical form will be needed to begin fall sports training/new school year.

The other forms for the 2020-2021 school year are already up and can be filled out at: FWISD Electronic Forms 2020-2021 School Year .

I hope to be posting soon about the summer conditioning plan/timeline so please check back on a regular basis. In the meantime if you have any questions please feel free to contact the Trimble Tech coaches. If you can’t reach your coaches, please feel free to email me at Jason.braud@fwisd.org with the subject line something along the lines of “Summer conditioning question” or “2020-2021 physical question”.
