Bulldogs News · Trimble Tech Track places their foot down in the District Track Meet showing everyone a small team still has a loud BARK, sending numerous individuals and teams to the Area Meet March 15th! Pictures of meet included.

It is been a very busy time of the for athletic trainers and it is much easier to not re-invent the wheel when it is already out there. I ask Coach Wilson and Coach Brookins for the results and who is going on and Coach Wilson put together a nice little email so I am simply going to post that below adding some pictures along the way. Congratulations to all of our runners and all of our coaches for all of their hard work they have put in, we are proud of you but there is still work to be done!

Here are results of the 7-5A District Track Meet that was held this week on Wednesday March 31, 2021 and Thursday April 1st.  After all was said and done, and the dust settled from the sparks coming off our track athletes shoes we ended up with 6 gold medal winners, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.
Our senior Kenondra Davis was her normal superstar self and blazed to a 1st place finish in the 100meter dash, she also placed 2nd in the 200meter dash due to a slightly injured hamstring after the 100meters, so she gave up the first-place finish to save her leg.
Next up, we have senior Keiohna Williams who is the quiet star of our team but nonetheless a force to be reckoned with.  She wowed the crowd with a 1st place finish in the 400meter dash running away from the competition. She also placed 3rd in the 100 meters.
Last but certainly not least our little-known talent, senior Akasha Chapman surprised us all with a 3rd place finish in the shot put.
Senior girls are leading the way to the area meet.  Finally, we had our 4x100meter relay team, consisting of Kenondra Davis, Keiohna Williams, senior Zynia Timmon-Richardson, and junior Dashanti Hall pull off a 2nd place finish amid a field of talent.
On the boy’s side we also had junior James Jallah put work in and bossed his way to a 1st place in the 100meters dash as well as the 200meter dash leaving the crowd mesmerized.
Next, up is sophomore Joel Cabral running away from the pack and showing who’s the boss to a 1st place finish in the 800meter dash.  He also competed in the 400meter dash and place 4th amid a strong field.
Sophomore Jaidyn Strhan three stepped his way to gain the lead for a 1st place finish in the 300meter hurdles.  Freshman sensation Mathew Ingram received a 1st place finish in the JV 200meter dash.  He screamed the last ten meters of the race to the finish line for the win.
Lastly, the boys placed 3rd in the final race of the day the 4x400meter relay consisting of James Jallah, Joel Cabral, Jaidyn Strhan, and Antonio Anderson.  Antonio had to fight to the finish to help his team get that medal and push past an aggressive field.
We had very small team this year and this little team has the heart of a lion.  They have worked hard to train, adapt to change, and execute to perfection.  I, Coach Clayton Brookins, Coach Josh Kyner, and Coach Bradley Haynes, are so very proud of these young athletes and they are a true testament to what you can do with just a few.  Please help us congratulate these athletes who are on their way to the next round Area Meet on April 15th, 2021 at Clark Stadium.
Sincerely,
Donna Wilson
Thank you Coach Wilson for this nice write up and thanks to Coach Brookins for the pictures of the individual medalist. I apologize as I tried getting everybody in their races but sometime duty calls and I missed a couple of our runners. Here are the pictures I did manage to get throughout the two day event. Again Congratulations to all and remember there is more work to be done.
